Lady L. Joi Thomas affectionately called Lady Joi, was born in Detroit, Michigan. She is the eldest of three children.
Lady Joi attended primary and secondary school graduating with a diploma, in 1995. After high school, she began working as a radio disc jockey at various radio stations throughout the US; in Detroit, the Seven Cities of Virginia, Little Rock, and Savannah; while obtaining her licensing as a Nail Technician and Certified Make-Up Artist. Lady Joi has an earned and received Associate Degree; Trident Technical College (Charleston, SC 2012). After receiving her degree from Trident Technical College, Lady Joi felt the urge to push further, and in May of 2014, she graduated with a Bachelors of Arts Dual Degree from Claflin University in Mass Communications concentration in Public Relations and Business Administration with a minor in Entrepreneur Business and French.
Lady Joi in Ministry:
In 1993, Lady Joi (16), transitioned with her mother, to Charleston, SC. When Lady Joi became of age, she joined Life Center Ministries, under the teaching of Bishop Brian D. Moore and Lady Elder Jametta C. Moore. Bishop Moore, her spiritual father, poured into Lady Joi and furthermore admonished Lady Joi to glean from three senior elders, Elder Yulonda Wilson, Elder Lisa Goodwin, and Elder Vita Reese. These women with the help of the Holy Ghost, began to cultivate the hidden treasures within. In 2005, Lady Thomas began receiving formal ministerial training, and while at Life Center Cathedral, was blessed to meet and be poured into by the likes of, Lady Elleanor Montgomery, Dr. Liggiona “Tiny” Lucas, Dr. T.L. Penny and Pastor Fondrea Lewis. These ladies prophesied and encouraged Lady Joi to completely yield to the will of GOD, as they could see the first lady and preacher that she was to become. Shortly, after Lady Joi was released by Bishop Moore to worship with her husband, who was then the Co-Pastor of Rehoboth Ministries International, under Apostle Johnnell Cancer. In November 2010, Lady Thomas was officially licensed a Minister of the Gospel.
Now an Elder, Lady Joi is focusing on helping God's people gain knowledge through radio, television, and print work. She believes everything learned while working in the communications field is a great asset and stepping stone to serve God and reach his people.
Lady Joi in Communications:
Lady Joi’s been in the business since she was 16 years of age, she began as an intern and a teen reporter at WJLB Fm 98 in Detroit, MI, which led to a gospel mid-day host and morning drive personality at WZJY 1440 Am in Charleston, SC. She then went on to become a morning show producer for the Tom Joyner Morning Show at WMGL Magic 101.7 Fm in Charleston and the afternoon traffic reporter for Citadel Communications. Lady Joi went on to work as the morning show Producer and a voice doing the Inspirational Thought of the Day on the Russ Parr Morning Show while doing weekends on WWHV-WWBR Hot 102.1-107.9 in Norfolk/Virginia Beach, VA. As she continued her journey in the world of radio she then went on to become an adult urban radio host for WMGL Magic 101.7 Fm in Charleston, SC. During her change in radio formats she was introduced to a new home that she loved for 6 years. The world of Hip Hop and R&B urban radio at WWWZ Z-93 Jamz in Charleston, SC & WWHV- WWBR Hot 102.1/107.9 in Norfolk/Virginia Beach, Virginia. In January of 2005 Lady Joi was a part of the number one Gospel Morning show in the south east, on the Rise-n-Rejoice Morning Show on WJNI Gospel 106.3 Fm in Charleston, SC. Lady Joi has now found a new passion for radio all over again. She returned to the Cumulus media family in 2013 where she worked weekends and hosted the specialty Old Skool Show. Lady Joi is currently hosting her own weekly show on Magic 107.3fm on Sunday mornings called “Magic Inspirations.” She is also the correspondent for Deitrick TV or DTV with National Gospel Recording Artist Deitrick Haddon.
Lady Joi the Business Owner, Author & Conference Visionary:
Lady Joi currently owns a Cosmetic Accessory company called POJE Cosmetics designed for the makeup lover in every woman. She is the visionary for the premiere southeast conference; D.R.E.A.M. Pushers Conference, designed for people who are ready to achieve every vision, goal and dream God has given them. Lady Joi is also an author with two books coming out in 2019 entitled It’s Good to Be a Lady First and Investing In Me.

She is the proud wife of Apostle Antonio G. Thomas, of Anointed God-Revealed Truth Ministries where she serves faithfully. She is the loving mother of three beautiful children, Dewayne L. Tomlin Jr., Jordan Michael and Jadyn Zoi-Acacia Thomas.
A soon to be author, a television host and future owner of a powerful broadcasting and television network, Lady Thomas is now about her father's business while allowing him to be about hers. Lady Thomas cites this scripture, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, which will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”(Philippians 4:6-7). Her outlook on life and favorite saying is as follows, “If I never see my name in Lights, the True Testimony is in; the life that I have lived, the giving of my blessings and talents back to my community as a whole!”
